Aside from coming from a trusted brand name, the Hoover F7411-900 SteamVac Dual V Widepath Carpet Cleaner with Powered Handheld Tool is also a powerful cleaning equipment which has a 12-Amp motor. What the cleaner does is apply a solution, scrub the surface to be cleaned using its powerful motor, removing the hot tap water along with the cleaning solution.

The name of the product may be a mouthful, but functionalities like the Dual V technology allows the equipment to produce powerful suction along the path which needs to be cleaned while removing water at the same time. Meanwhile, the powered hand tool works great for cleaning stairs and furniture pieces with upholstery. The current steamer I owned was 6 years old, and just not cleaning the carpets the way I wanted it to. I would pay extra attention to the high traffic areas and they still looked dirty after going over them 3 or 4 times. I was all set to buy the Bissel Pro Heat model, when I did some research and found that this Hoover Steam Vac model had really good customer reviews. I went to the store and took a look at it and bought it. As soon as I brought it home, I went right to work with it in my son's room. I was absolutely amazed! The carpet looks brand new again. The water was black with all the dirt that had been trapped in the carpet! And I had just steamed his room about 2 months ago with old steamer. Here are some Pros and Cons regarding this machine in my opinion. Pros: 1. It was very easy to put together. Took us less than 5 minutes. 2. The rinse only option. 3. The spin brushes which I feel clean the carpet better. 4. The powered hand tool with spin brushes. Cons: 1. The automatic shut-off when the dirty water tank gets full. 2. The design of the back of the machine with the hand tool hose and the power cord. It doesn't get in the way, but it becomes a little bulky back there if the cords are not sitting just right. Make sure you read the manual on how to clean the carpets. I found that going really slow when making a wet pass works best and cuts down on the amount of wet passes you need to make. People have made comments regarding all the plastic and how easy it is for those pieces to break. I say just take care when disassembling to clean it and you should be fine. I own a Hoover Floor Mate as well and the construction is pretty similar. I've had my Floor Mate for over 4 years and have not has any issue with plastic pieces breaking. Overall, it is a great machine and I recommend it!

I bought this for my daughter, since she has 3 kids and all carpet, and aI bought her a cheap brand a couple years ago. I recently borrowed it to check it out and it works great, except for the furniture attachment (get a reasonable priced steamer). The cleaner worked great, had to fill and empty containers more than I would like, but isn't that what professional cleners are for. This is great for those in between cleanings, and does a great job.

This is my third steam vac in about 12 years. The first two were Bissels and were very hard to use. They were hard to push, were constantly breaking belts, etc. This Hoover is the best. I just cleaned my entire 3500 sq ft. house with it-all bedrooms, stairs, area rugs, etc. It did a fantastic job. The best thing about it unlike the others that I have had, is it got out of the carpet almost entirely all of the water that went in. My carpet was dry by the time I was finished. I have never seen so much filthy water that was coming back out of my carpet. ( and I vac every week) The carpet in one bedroom had a bad odor that I had tried repeatedly to get out of the carpet, from a pet urinating. The odor and any stains are entirely gone now. The house smells clean and fresh. I had thought we were going to have to replace the bedroom carpet, because it was so bad. I even got on my hands and knees and smell nothing but fresh smell. This is an awesome steam vac, well worth the money. Stanley Steamer usually charges me around $150.00 per year to come out and do a couple rooms. This paid for itself the first time and I was able to do my entire house. What I really love about having my own steam vac is that I can use it whenever I would like without the headache of having to wait half a day for someone to show up and do it for me.

Wow. I cleaned my carpet every 2 months with a rented carpet cleaner, so when I brought this home I certainly didn't think it would pull SO MUCH dirt out of my carpet. But it did. Puttin this unit together took all of 15 minutes after taking it out of the box. Filling it up with soap and water couldn't be any easier. And it does a great job with your carpet, sucking up far greater amounts of dirt than the rented Rug-Doctors. I also really like the 'rinse' feature, allowing you to go back over your carpet after running soapy water through, to rinse it clean with just hot water. I give this 5 out of 5. It's super easy to put together, easier to use, and gives great results :)
