The Wagner 906 Power Steamer does not require chemical cleaning formulas. All you need is just pure tap water. First of all I would like to say that after purchasing this steamer I wanted to shout from the rooftops how wonderful it was, but I set a time frame of 2 months for the review. The reason for this is because I had purchased another brand of steamer and it broke after 2 days. This one is WONDERFUL! Worth every penny I paid for it! I felt that Wagner was a name I could trust and I was 100% correct thinking that. It is sturdy, well made, the attachments are not cheap. It's a really great machine. I have seen that people have said that it's loud, but the unit itself makes no noise at all. I think they must be refering to the pressurized steam that comes out of it, which I guess could be loud. It has an attachment for almost anything and is very easy to use. The cleaning power of pressurized steam is amazing! I have also seen that people have said that there is no place to store the cord. This is true, but it would not deter me from buying this again.

My major disappointment is that the attachments were not included! Part of the reason I purchased this was so I could use it on the floor as well as the counters, etc. What I received works as advertised. It is a pain, though, to get water into the tank without a funnel.

Just bought the wagner 905 power steamer. Here are some of the pros and maybe a few cons. I had new floor tile that I have laid down in the past two years in the kitchen and the family room and even the bathroom(5 yrs.). The grout got dirty and discolored. Let me say this steamer did everything I expected it to do. I hate cleaning and now I enjoy it. It is more effortless this way. All the grout in my floor tile is now the color it was when I laid it. I scrubbed as hard as I could with a brush and soapy water and even bought grout cleaner and still would not come clean......Used the wagner 905 and it did the job. Cleaned my shower stall and vanity and sinks....all clean. Pros- Very good high pressure steam. Easy to use Trigger lock Steam on demand Cost efficient- No more expensive cleaners Only 79.95 Good quality attachments(used the hell out of the little brush attachment and still works good). Cons- Wish it had bigger tank- steam last 45-50 min. wait 20 minutes for cool down to refill. tHAT IS ALL THE CONS i CAN THINK OF. One thing I will say is I reccomend using destilled water in the unit.....I have read where people wish they would have do to the unit lasting longer....not this meaning on this though, just other models. I have the Shark Steam mop, Stay away from those....THEY ARE A PIECE OF ****! Wagner 905 makes the Shark look like a guppy! You can't go wrong with what this machine can do. Overall I am very satified and hope this review helps people decide they do not have to go to expensive to get good quality for a change!

After reading the reviews I thought this had to be a winner but it didn't clean a thing. I guess I owe my wife a lot of credit for getting things clean with the standard cleaning methods. Although its primary market is removing wallpaper (per the box), even Wagner says only a 20% improvement over traditional methods. We didn't get it for wallpaper. Based on the other reviews we tried it to clean everything: grout, carpet stains, shower door, BBQ, auto wheels, etc nothing was any cleaner than doing it by hand. I even tried cleaning my car engine which only had a little dirt on it - looks the same. It does produce steam but not a great deal of pressure. The quality isn't bad, all the pieces are pretty sturdy. It looks hi-tech. Steam under pressure will make noise, there is no way around that. The unit does get a little warm too. I imagine the steam would help disinfect like cleaning up after the puppy. But for $100 we can buy a lot of soap, water and rags and do a better job. A couple of tips: for wallpaper we have used a bucket of hot water and a sponge. For the BBQ, get it hot, then dip your wire brush (if you can use one - check directions) into water and clean the grate. The hot water helps sanitize it as well.

I love it! I've only used it for steaming wallpaper so far, but it did an excellent job. It was the only thing that got the wallpaper glue off easily. I had a couple of tough small spaces and managed to remove that wallpaper and glue with the smaller attachments for those areas. Worked great!
