| I have a lot of tile flooring and about a year ago I owned an Enviro bare floor steam cleaner (mop) which I really liked and I missed it when it quit working. I then went back to old fashioned mopping and have tried various regular mops which supposedly wring the water for you (and drop puddles on the floor) and the mop heads always seemed dirty even after multiple rinsings. To me, these mops were also cumbersome to handle and pushed dirty water into the grout. When I saw the Bissell steam mop I liked the idea that the water tank was easy to reach and detachable for easy filling (no bending over with a funnel to fill up), no long wait time to heat up, and I liked the ergonomic handle and the cord wrap. It also comes with a wall hanging hook. I have now used the Bissell steam mop several times. There is a dramatic difference in the shine on my tile versus regular mopping. Although I was pleased with the Enviro product, I like the results with the Bissell much better. I always felt the Enviro cleaned well but it did not leave the tile shiny like the Bissell does. The Bissell, however, is harder to push around than the Enviro or a regular mop. I don't know if this is due to weight of the item or the drag coming from the terry mop head. This is not to say that the Bissell is heavy to lift, just takes more muscle to push around. The results, however, are worth the extra effort. The Bissell will not pick up anything that is stuck to the floor (neither did the Enviro) so I carry around one of those mesh bath scrubbies, let the steam soften the stuck stuff and then scrub it loose. Neither the Enviro or Bissell steam mop does much for grout so look elsewhere if grout cleaning is your main objective or if you need heavy duty grunge cleaning. My Bissell steam mop came with four terry mop covers which is so convenient. You won't believe how dirty the terry cloth gets even when you are cleaning what appears to be a clean floor so it is nice to have extra cloths to switch to when cleaning a lot of tile or a very dirty floor. I wash these cloths in the washing machine with bleach and let them air dry so they won't shrink. The Bissell steam mop is easy to assemble, easy to use, love the results. I always hated dragging out a mop bucket, changing the mop water, wringing the mop, cleaning out the mop bucket when finished, etc. but this steam mop is so convenient and easy, I won't mind mopping. Saves my back too from heavy lifting of mop buckets and bending over to wring those mops. Since the Bissell uses plain or distilled water, you save money on cleaning products or throw-away pads. In addition, the floor dries faster when using steam. I love things that make life easier! For daily maintenance, this Bissell steam mop is a winner. I also highly recommend the Bissell Catch-All for quick pick up of light-weight debris and especially pet hair from bare floors before mopping and any time in between.
