Bissell 1719 Description

The Bissell SpotLifter is a convenient hand held carpet cleaner designed for immediate cleaning of spills and spots as they happen. The SpotLifter combines powerful suction and brush agitation in order to easily lift spots and remove them from your carpeting. It is the handiest carpet cleaning device ideal for cleaning spills, removing stains, and cleaning pet poop on carpets.

The Bissell SpotLifter is cordless and runs on 9.5V power with built-in rechargeable batteries. It features a large back tank where you can mix cleaning agents and water. You can easily spray the cleaning mixture of the SpotLifter on affected areas of your carpet and start power brushing by simply switching on the thumb button. This carpet cleaner will clean a seven-inch wide path. The suction will lift dirty suds and water as well as debris and will flow directly to the front collection tank. The collection tank can be easily removed by a switch release button for easier disposal of dirty water.

The Bissell SpotLifter can provide full power cleaning action of up to 15 minutes. After which, the battery must be recharged for a full 12 hours. This is the perfect hand held device for cleaning, sanitizing, and deodorizing of fresh carpet spills and spots.

I've had none of the problems that other people have commented on. This works great for me! When my new puppy has a slip-up all I have to do is grab the Spotlifter and off I go to clean up the mess. I've had no odor coming from the machine and I've found that cleaning the machine takes only a minute. I've never had a problem with suds coming out of vents or such- maybe too much solution is being used by others, I don't know. I find the the 'fill line' capacity is plenty big for what I use my Spotlifter for. It doesn't fill with suds in 10 seconds as mentioned by others. But then again, I'm using mine for spot removal, not to clean my whole carpet.... The one defect that I find is that removing the front tank which holds the dirty water is difficult to take off because you automatically hit the squirt button under the handle when pulling off the front tank. THAT is something that Bissel needs to redesign! Other than that - I love it.

A Christmas present ended up to not be working. Several months had passed before my daughter used her Bissell spot remover. She discovered it did not work. Although it was past the time to return..Amazon was kind enough to make it right and stand behind their merchandise. All that really did is make me want to continue to do business with Amazon. When you are buying things online, it always seems a little risky. I know Amazon will do the right thing and I will continue to do business with them. I thank you again for your consideration in this matter.

I have only used this once for cleaning up cat vomit from the carpet. I usually clean my carpets with a Bissell carpet cleaner, which I love, and this one left cleaner spots. I'll try changing the cleaner to the one I use for the larger Bissell and see it it works better. I think it will be nice for getting spots off places the floor cleaner can't go.

This is great for picking up the stains our kids and cats make. It has been a life saver for us. The only down fall it has is the limited running time. If you have a lot of stains at once it can run out of power and it takes hours to fully recharge and you can not run it while plugged in. But other than that we have no complaints. For all the positives it is worth this negative. :)

With 3 cats and a dog, messes are inevitable. I bought this to clean up the accidents that happen (why do cats and dogs immediately run to the nearest carpeting to upchuck?). I've used it 6 times or so and it works great, still on the first charge. Haven't had any problems with getting any of the tanks off and on, maybe just lucky. Would definitely buy again!
