I did not have the problem some do with it creating too much steam & over-wetting the floor. Worked fine right out of the box. The only problem is it is too big to really get in corners. The Shark worked better for corners. Other than that I really like it. I made additional covers out of towels & they seem to work just as well. I like to wash the covers separately from other laundry to keep the lint down on the covers, so I want to have several of them. I have both tile & hardwood floors and so far it has worked fine for both. I especially like it on the kitchen hardwood as that gets 'gunky' more than the rest of my floors and the Eureka cleans it right up. I sweep/vacuum really well first but still need to sweep after wards. It loosens some of the grime & then I have to sweep it up.

I've had this mop about 3 months. i absolutely love it. it cleans my tile and hardwood floors so easily. the mop head swivels and turns easily, my back doesn't hurt when I mop. There are no streaks or water left behind. If there is something hard to clean you just let the mop sit on it for a moment and it steams it off, no more scrubbing. I love this mop so much I bought both of my grown daughters one. I would recommend this mop for anyone who has had a tired back after using a sponge mop

I read lots and lots of reviews before I got this Eureka 313A Enviro Steamer! I don't really need a mop that sanitizes the floor (after you walk on it for the first time it isn't sanitized anymore). I just wanted a mop that cleaned really good and didn't made me buy stuff to use in it every time I moped. This uses only water. I pay every month for that anyway. No extra cost there! It cleans so much better than the Hoover Floor Mate I had before this! At first the floor didn't dry as fast as everyone said, but the more I use it the better it works. The last time I moped by the time I finished one side of the room the other was dry!
When you add water and let it sit until it starts to steam in the tray, it does spit a little bit. Just leave it in the tray for another few seconds. After that it works exactly as they describe. I wash my pads in the washing machine and then air dry them. I have no complaints about his product. The handle is long enough for me and it doesn't feel like it will break as I use it. When I move from room to room, I turn it off, unplug it, re-plug it in the other room, and then turn it back on. It only takes seconds to start steaming again! You can even tell right before it has to be refilled. You can hear the steam come out. Then right before the indicator light to refill it comes on you hear the steam stop. I love it and recommend it!!

Works great and the floor stays cleaner not using any chemicals on it, almost as if the chemicals were attracting dirt. This works only with steam and does a great job. No leaking.

After reading all the positive reviews and comparing this with the other brands I decided to give it a try and I am very happy I did. The steamer performed admirably and was very easy to put together and use. My only complaint would be that a longer cord would be very useful.
